Fergie stands up for Kate

According to The Daily Mail: “Sarah Ferguson, who was photographed topless while sunbathing at a remote villa in the South of France 20 years ago, has expressed ‘total sympathy’ for the Duchess of Cambridge.

“The long-range pictures, which showed the Duchess of York having her toes sucked by American businessman John Bryan while lying on a poolside sun-lounger, were published by the Daily Mirror in August 1992.

“The ensuing scandal hastened the end of her marriage to Prince Andrew and the couple divorced four years later.

“I have total empathy and sympathy for her. I have been there and know what it’s like. Everyone is entitled to privacy. It is a devastating invasion of one’s personal inner space. It is deplorable, abhorrent and despicable.”

According to a friend of Sarah’s: “The paparazzi had dug a trench and lived in it for three days as if they were stalking an animal. She is very pale-skinned so never takes her top off. On this occasion she was just copying a friend. It was incredible that by chance they caught her. She has never done so again.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has copped flack for weighing in on Kate’s topless photos. He tweeted: “Kate Middleton is great–but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude–only herself to blame” and “Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”

Hayden’s body dysmorphia

At age 16, Hayden Panettiere was distraught when a tabloid magazine published a photo of the Heroes star’s butt with the word “cellulite” plastered across the image.

“I was mortified,” the actress, now 23, tells the October issue of Women’s Health magazine. “It gave me such body dysmorphia for so long. But I remember reminding myself that beauty is an opinion, not a fact. And it has always made me feel better.”

She remains focussed on staying in shape for the cameras, attending Bikram yoga classes and eating healthy foods like egg whites and strawberries. But she admits it’s a struggle.

“I love chips,” Panettiere tells the magazine. “I find when I’m overly concerned about what I eat, I stress out my body and put on weight.”

Amanda’s off the road

Los Angeles drivers can breathe a sigh of relief, Amanda Bynes‘ car has been impounded by police.

According to TMZ: “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Bynes was pulled over in her black BMW around 9:00 AM in Burbank, CA. We’re told when cops ran her license they discovered it was suspended. According to our sources, cops impounded the vehicle and issued her a misdemeanor ticket for driving on a suspended license.”

Kourtney pulls her own baby out

There are no private moments for the Kardashians. In the finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the entire clan watches the birth of Kourtney Kardashian‘s daughter Penelope Scotland, as TV cameras capture the action.

Sisters Kim and Khloe, brother Rob, younger half siblings Kendall and Kylie, mother Kris Jenner and long-term boyfriend Scott Disick were all inside the delivery room to see Kourtney pull the little girl out with her own hands.

That’s right.

‘Kourtney just loves to pull out her own children,’ said Khloe after the birth.

Idol in-fighting

TMZ is reporting that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are already cat-fighting on the set of American Idol.

“Carey and Nicki Minaj went at it during the first “A.I.” taping Sunday in NYC. When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt — not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah.

“One “A.I.” spy said Mariah and Nicki tried to cover their disdain for each other but everyone saw through it, adding, “These girls just don’t like each other.”

“You may recall, we reported when producers called Mariah to tell her that Nicki would probably be joining her as a judge, she hung up the phone.”

Mariah is trying to shoot down the rumours: “How can we feud in two days? I think a feud takes a little longer,” she told reporters at a press conference in New York on Monday.

Rupert disses gay dads

Rupert Everett has caused consternation with his views on gay parenting.

He told the Sunday Times Magazine his mother’s views on the subject: “She thinks children need a father and a mother and I agree with her. I can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads. I’m not speaking on behalf of the gay community. In fact, I don’t feel like I’m part of any ‘community’. The only community I belong to is humanity and we’ve got too many children on the planet, so it’s good not to have more.”

His mum is copping it too. Chicago Now said: “She was quoted as saying that “in the past, I have said that I wish Rupurt was straight, and I probably still feel that.”

“Everett’s mother went on to say that she would “like him to have a pretty wife.”

“He’d make a wonderful father,” she said. Of course, she does not believe that he should be a father because of his homosexuality.

“Based on those comments, I would go out on a limb and state that it is probably more than partially his mother’s fault that Everett is such a self-hating homosexual.”
