It always rains whenever I go to a Twilight at Taronga concert.
But awesome bands join the line up so we book regardless.
DD bought me tickets for Christmas to see The Cruel Sea.

We braved the inclement weather on Saturday night, I huddled under a big, orange umbrella and the band was great.
Lead singer Tex Perkins is a long tall string of sexiness with the most incredible voice.

My favourite songs are “Honeymoon is over” and “Woman with soul” … despite me having too much of it.
I have been a blubbering basket case for days since I put my back out and the eldest moved to Melbourne.
I actually cried while sitting in the chair at my hairdresser. My hairdresser tends be very harsh and I was not feeling resilient enough to handle it, so he had to fetch me a Kleenex.
But I had a lovely haircut for The Cruel Sea.
Sunday was a slower one, kicking off with my new routine of a glass of water, anti inflammatory pill and a snack – because the pill must be taken with or after food) in bed, then doing a few light stretches while I wait for the drugs to kick in and face the day.
I’m just a little stiff and sore now, no more horrifying muscle spasms.
I managed my regular walk with my friend Alice and shopped a few of my feelings afterwards at a linen clothing store. I had to stick to tops because trying on pants is a bit of an ordeal with my current lack of flexibility.
Tops were also problematic for a different reason – they were generally “one size fits all” … but that turned out to be “one size fits all but anyone with boobs bigger than B cup”.
In the afternoon I went to a 70th birthday party for one of DD’s friends.
Meanwhile in Melbourne … the eldest moved into his new apartment on Saturday, had a mattress delivered from IKEA that afternoon and found a fridge on Facebook marketplace.
There was a slight hiccup with the electricity connection so there won’t be any until Tuesday.
Thank goodness for summer, daylight savings and power banks,
Song of the day: The Cruel Sea “Woman with soul”
