There’s an American comedian I love called Leanne Morgan.
DD sent me a snippet of one of her routines a few days ago and asked: “Can u relate?”
It starts with her saying: “My husband does not talk …”
DD stumbled across it during one of his many Tik Tok deep dives.
The deep dive followed me sitting forlornly on his couch bemoaning his lack of conversation.
Mind you, I prefer silent DD on the couch to no DD on the couch.
I am already catastrophising about the fact he is going away soon on a month-long business trip.
One whole month!!!
I was fine with it in theory because I was worried about him doing two Europe trips in four weeks but now the reality is setting in I am feeling much less warm and fuzzy about it.
Ah well I suppose it means I will be able to focus on my big secret project that is due mid-June with less distractions.
The current distraction though is panic. I could not get to sleep last night due to worry over my periodontist appointment today – I hate mouth needles – and the orthopedic appointment tomorrow – so much tendinitis … why????
Dr Google has been no help.
OK I’d better get up and face the music … and the first of two $900 dental bills … Apparently I won’t be able to chew for hours afterwards so I’ve made myself a batch of potato and leek soup.
Deep breaths.

No gas at NIB that I could spot, the numbing gel kinda works
I changed dentist to get 1 that uses gas. It’s an extra $50 charge each time used. I literally would pay double.
