It’s not Freddie

It turns out my fibroid has nothing to do with my sacrum and hip issues.

I almost wish it was Freddie that was the problem. Then he could be whipped out – along with my uterus – and I would live happily ever after.

However, the MRI has revealed I actually have “severe” arthritis in my spine. And there’s not much that can be done about it other than getting a cortisone injection and seeing if that helps.

As for my hip, the pain is being caused by an anterior superior labral tear and posterior inferior labral tear in the joint, together with tendinosis of my gluteus minimus, anterior band of the gluteus medius, the iliopsoas and the hamstring insertion.

How’s that for a mouthful?

I have no idea how I injured my hip. Athletes in sports where the hip is repeatedly flexed and who experience a sudden impact on their hip are the usual victims.

That ain’t me.

There are three ways the tears can be treated; lying around doing nothing for an indefinite period of time to see if they heal … not very practical … physio .. which may help … or surgery … eeek.

Deeeeeeeep sigh. Poor me.

I have booked to have the injection in my spine next week – scary – and I have a physio appointment on Friday after I get my ear vacuumed.

Oh frabjous day!

Actually, I am really looking forward to the ear appointment. Being able to hear again will be awesome.

I told DD that I need an ocean voyage, as everything stopped hurting on about day three of my Ponant cruise …

Speaking of holidays, I think I’ll have a little blogging break on Anzac Day and maybe Friday too.

Lest we forget.

Take care.

Catch you on the other side. I promise to post about happy stuff next week.
