I saw Bohemian Rhapsody last night, the Queen biopic. It’s had mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it.
Watching the actors recreate “We are the Champions” at Live Aid was incredibly moving.
And the actor who plays Freddie Mercury – Rami Malek – is pretty amazing in the role.
(Rami has revealed he grew to love the prominent false teeth he wore for the role so much that he kept them and had them gold plated.)
The movie is a reminder that being rich and famous doesn’t provide a magic key to happiness.
Which brings me to this week’s whirl of divorces, engagements, breakdowns and religious conversions …
Jackie “O” Henderson announced last week that she has split from husband Lee.
The KIIS FM radio host and her ex share a daughter Catalina, 7, also known as Kitty.
“After 18 years together, we have made the decision to separate,” she said. “We do so amicably, sharing many incredible memories and remaining best friends.
“Our focus for this next chapter is of course our wonderful daughter and continuing to provide her love and happiness, together.”
Jackie addressed the split on her KIIS FM breakfast show and said: “It’s not a decision we took lightly at all”.
“We’ve been separated for quite some time now. We talk every day on the phone, we all still hang out as a family.
“I’m really proud that we’ve managed to do this amicably.”
A Facebook post by police in northwest England went viral after they posted a photo of a thief who’s the doppelgänger of David Schwimmer.
Blackpool Police posted a photo of the man with the caption: “Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on the 20th September.”
Within 12 hours, the post had received more than 75,000 comments with the majority of them making jokes about the thief’s likeness to the Friends star.
Danny Harrod joked on Facebook that people should give the thief a break.
“Calm down everyone. This bloke could have fallen on hard times. Maybe it hadn’t been his week, his month or even his year,” he wrote.
James Peden who wrote: “If he’s jumped in Blackpool sea you’ll never catch him. I’ve heard he’s a really good Schwimmer.”
Referencing another Friends star, Sam Marshall said: “When questioned he couldn’t remember a thing, he drew a LeBlanc.”
Blackpool Police had a bit of fun with the comments too, writing: “Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date. We’re so sorry it has to be this way”
As the post gained attention, Schwimmer himself even joined the fun, sharing a video of himself smuggling something out of a supermarket in a similar fashion to the thief.
“Officers, I swear it wasn’t me,” he teased:
James Packer has found love again following a tough two years that included a messy business settlement with his sister, a whirlwind relationship with Mariah Carey and an emotional breakdown.
Packer has opened up about the romance with Canadian model Kylie Lim in a new biography titled The Price of Fortune: The Untold Story of Being James Packer.
“I’m lucky she’s in my life,” he said. “Kylie is a good person, a really good partner, and we are taking things slowly, one day at a time.”
He revealed the pair met almost two years ago after his break up with Carey.
The turmoil led to him being significantly medicated and suffering regular panic attacks. Lim has been by his side as he tries to get well.
The pair are preparing to settle down together in his new $80 million mansion in Los Angeles.
Rosie O’Donnell is engaged to army veteran and former boxer Elizabeth Rooney.
The star, 56, confirmed their engagement to PEOPLE on Monday, but said marriage isn’t on the cards just yet.
“This is a long time in the future. We both decided that that would be best,” O’Donnell.
She described Rooney, 33, as a “wonderful woman”.
“She’s very much an equal, she’s very much her own person and loves what she does. She’s a pretty unbelievable young woman,” she added.
O’Donnell also joked about the pair’s 23-year age gap.
“I keep telling her I’m too old for her. But she doesn’t seem to care,” she said. “She’s like, ‘I was in the Army! I put my life on the line every day you think I don’t know who I want to date?’ I’m like, ‘Alright I guess that’s true.’ She has a lot of good points.”
She said many fans mistake Rooney for her 20-year-old daughter Chelsea, who is pregnant with her first child.
“A lot of people say, ‘Oh my god, Chelsea looks so great.’ I’m like, ‘That’s not Chelsea.’ That’s my soon-to-be spouse,” she said. “It’s a little tricky. In the airport people say, ‘Rosie, can I have a picture of you and your daughter?’ She doesn’t seem to think it’s an issue at all. Nobody ever does, but I do sometimes. I was already on Star Search by the time you were born.”
O’Donnell was previously married to Michelle Rounds, who died of apparent suicide in September 2017 at age 46. They share one daughter, Dakota, 5.
She also has four children — son Parker, 23, son Blake, 18, and daughter Vivienne, 15, and 21-year-old estranged daughter Chelsea — with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter-O’Donnell.
Amy Schumer is pregnant.
The comedian, 37, announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Chris Fischer via journalist Jessica Yellin’s Instagram story.
“About to announce some exciting news on @jessicayellin insta page. Please follow her for up to the minute #newsnotnoise she breaks down what’s really going on. She agreed to post a lil noise today for me! Follow her and VOTE!!” she captioned a photo of her and Fischer photoshopped as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, directing fans to Yellin’s page.
Then, the last line of a list of Schumer’s voting picks read, “I’m pregnant — Amy Schumer.”
She’s since been having TERRIBLE morning sickness, as exhibited above … it also seems to have affected her spelling …
